چکیده
Adaptive coded modulation (ACM) is a promising tool for bandwidth-efficient transmission in a fading environment. The main motivation behind employing ACM schemes is to improve the spectral efficiency of wireless communications. Adaptive UL-Coded Spectrally-Precoded OFDM With Zero-Forcing Equalization Under Flat Fading
Constant-power adaptive transmission technique adopting UL-coded spectrally-precoded orthogonal frequencydivision multiplexing (SP-OFDM) signals with one tap zeroforcing equalization is studied on the flat fading channel. By jointly adapting the precoding order for spectral precoder and the component modulation for OFDM, constant-power ULcoded adaptive SP-OFDM is shown to outperform conventiona...
متن کاملSpectral efficiency of adaptive coded modulation in urban microcellular networks
This tutorial paper describes a general adaptive coded modulation scheme for airlinks in urban wireless networks. Each airlink is degraded by shadowed Nakagami multipath fading, interference from other airlinks, and signal path loss. An instance of the adaptive coding scheme utilizes a set of trellis codes originally designed for additive white Gaussian noise channels. A model of the worst and ...
متن کاملCross-Layer Design in Dynamic Spectrum Sharing Systems
We consider a dynamic spectrum sharing system consisting of a primary user, whose licensed spectrum is allowed to be accessed by a secondary user as long as it does not violate the prescribed interference limit inflicted on the primary user. Assuming the Nakagami-m block-fading environment, we aim at maximizing the performance of secondary user’s link in terms of average spectral efficiency (AS...

Abstract The effect of IQ imbalance on adaptive MQAM modulation in MIMO systems with direct conversion receivers is investigated in this paper. A continues power, discrete rate adaptive modulation scheme in using MIMO system with perfect channel information in both transmitter and receiver is considered. The selected adaptation mechanism changes the transmit power and transmit constellation s...
